The Core Values of Eagle’s Landing Baptist Church
Core Values are the filters through which we do ministry and make decisions.
At the core of every church there are values that guide the church in decision making. These values are practiced at Eagle's Landing and are the rudder that guides our ship. These cannot be compromised or the ship can sink at any time. We have 8 core values we have put into place.
- We Value Jesus.
Jesus matters in our daily lives. We must ask ourselves "Am I following Jesus daily? Is He the priority of my life?" - God Values Worship. So do we.
Life is bigger than we are. We must experience life-changing worship every week. - We Value the teaching of scripture.
Teaching is for life change. We constantly ask, "Are my priorities in line with Scripture?" - We Value people.
We Value the lost and the saved. People matter to God. We continue to ask ourselves, "Am I investing in and inviting others to church?" - We Value Spiritual Growth.
We believe that real followers of Jesus must grow. As Dr. Henry Blackaby says, "You cannot stay where you are and go with God at the same time." Everyone is encouraged to study and grow in one of our small groups. - We Value Ministry through our Spiritual Gifts.
Everyone who has received Jesus as their Lord and Savior has at least one spiritual gift. We have a place for everyone. You have a purpose and need to be involved in life-changing ministry. The answer is to find your gifts and use them. - We Value Relevance.
1 Cor. 9:22 (NIV) "To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some." - We Value unity and diversity.
We focus on the things that unite us, not the things that divide us.
